Another image from the first deep freeze of the 2013-14 Pacific Northwest winter season, this one a portrait-oriented capture in which I decided to play with the circular polarizer a bit instead of defaulting to my usual method of minimizing reflections on the water's surface. That, of course, is what the title is in reference to--certainly not the sub-freezing temperatures that blanched my fingertips and left me speculating that my nose had fallen off somewhere along the trail. I think the gleam on the water's surface here helps enhance the visual line leading up to the falls frocked in frosty winter regalia.
