The Only Constant
Washington · USA
One of the best things about living in the Pacific Northwest is getting to experience four distinct seasons throughout the year and the peculiar beauty that comes with each of them. In mid-October, the curvaceous road to Panther Creek Falls is gilded along its flanks with yellowing bigleaf maple, and even the western redcedar are peppered with patches of orange in a phenomenon known as flagging. Just above one section of the über-complex waterfall, a cluster of vine maple declares in no uncertain terms that autumn, sweet autumn, has arrived.
