Cold rains, blustery winds, and a Google Maps snafu couldn't keep me and my running mates Ryan Ennis, Rod Thomas, and TJ Thorne from our appointed rounds with Abiqua Falls on a seasonably wet November day. I was fortunate to have 36 squeaky-clean megapixels from the Sony a7R to play with here, as my efforts to compose this shot an arm's length offshore while (unsuccessfully) trying to keep my feet dry left the image--as Jerry Seinfeld might say--a tad askew. Straightening the comp out had the benefit of leaving it with just the right crop I was going for in the first place.
Better lucky than good sometimes.
