Burn Wound
Oregon · USA
Trees rimming the deep chasm cut by brutish Wahclella Falls are set afire by oblique golden light from a setting sun. Informally-named East Fork Falls, seen here, T-bones the ravine and dumps its stream into Tanner Creek just above the lower tier of Wahclella, which totals 127 feet in height and always represents a stiff challenge for me to try to photograph in unique ways. I decided to go with a more intimate approach here.
