Tulipa 'Ballade'

We swore up and down 2022 that we didn’t have any more space or pots for more tulips, but that quickly changed after winning a $100 certificate for Breck's through a Garden Design promotional (I never win anything!). With baby arriving in the fall we were woefully behind on all our garden chores, and the bulb planting had to wait till after New Year’s. Thankfully they all came up in reasonable time this spring (including daffs, fritillaries, and Spanish pinkbells), and Ballade has been the best of the tulips with two solid weeks of flawless form and color. Hopefully they’ll be inclined to do the same next year.
