Achillea sibirica subsp. camschatica ‘Love Parade’
We love incorporating umbellifers in the garden to lend contrast in flower forms and draw in a broader spectrum of pollinators, like hoverflies, moths, and butterflies. Love Parade Kamschatka yarrow hails from the Kamschatka Peninsula of Siberia (as the scientific name would suggest) but has made a home here in our sunny border, where it rises up between spires of Lavender Lightsaber speedwell and the see-through scaffolding of tall verbena (Verbena bonariensis). We hope the soft pink, lavender, and violet hues of the planting here can do a little to help temper the heat of summer for parkgoers passing by.
