A little over a year removed from my first visit here, whimsy led me on the long but beautiful country drive out to this deliciously verdant canyon on what was otherwise a pretty gloomy and soggy day--this time with tripod in hand to photograph this sidewinding phenomenon of a falls. It was one of those trips that you make without expecting to shoot too much, with Spring still in its infancy and the wildflower explosion still weeks away in most places--just a chance to get outside and get away. The constant rain and spray made for a challenging go of it, but ultimately they were mere afterthoughts and easily worth the price of admission to spend time in the presence of natural beauty like this.
