Still photos will never do justice to the slow-motion dance of the northern lights, but as static vignettes of an ever-shifting phenomenon, they can often stir the imagination of our pareidolic minds. Standing on the rocky shores of Solbjørnvatnet, a dynamic Rorschach test was unfolding directly above my dumbstruck head.
